2024 Desert's Edge Triathlon update
Highline Lake State Park has been drained for 2024 to assist in the park's efforts to eradicate invasive zebra mussels. Therefore, the 2024 Desert's Edge triathlon series will take place at Imondi Wake Zone in Fruita, co. course maps and start times TBA.

Join the Grand Junction Sports Commission for the 2024 Desert's Edge Triathlon. While this year may look a little different, it gives new triathletes a chance to try a tri! The super sprint format consists of a 500-meter swim, a 10-mile bike, and a 5k run.

Packet pickup will take place on Friday and Saturday at the times stated above. An athlete guide will be sent out before the event with additional details. Please contact us at info@grandjunctionsports.org if you have any questions. This is not a USAT-sanctioned race, so no license is required from USAT.

if the super sprint isn't your thing, we hope you will join us in 2025 when we make our return to Highline Lake State Park.
