Alyssa Winter
Event Marketing Manager

Alyssa joined the GGJSC team in June 2021 as the Event Marketing Intern for the summer into the fall of 2021 but took a leave of absence to live out her lifelong dream of studying abroad in a foreign country in the spring of 2022. Alyssa studied International Business and Marketing during her six-month study abroad trip in Ghent, Belgium. "It was an experience I will never forget, and I am truly grateful for everything I learned, the people I met, and the memories I get to cherish forever. She returned back into the United States in July of 2022 and hopped right back in with GGJSC as the Event Marketing Manager. Alyssa is currently a senior Business Administration-emphasis in Marketing student at Colorado Mesa University intending to graduate Fall 2022!

After graduation, Alyssa does not have a set plan, but will either stay in Grand Junction or move east back over the mountains to Fort Collins/Denver/Colorado Springs*. Since she has been working for the Grand Junction Sports Commission, she has provided marketing materials for many events and supported local partners events as well. Her favorite event to work is the Just Peachy 5K in Palisade, CO because of the family friendly feel and the huge smiles on everyone's faces at the Peachy Post Race Party!

Away from the office, you will most likely find Alyssa with her friends out traveling to nearby outdoor destinations to go camping such as Arches and Canyonlands National Park, The Grand Mesa, and the Colorado National Monument.

Alyssa has a passion for outdoor recreation, sports, providing a safe and fun environment for the community, and creating lasting memories for participants!
