AID STATION Volunteer Duties
Set up the Aid station, table, and trash can, and start filling water and Tailwind cups upon arrival.
​
If your aid station has Honey Stinger Chews, please use the small clear cups and put 3 in every cup.
Please review the aid station guide provided in the aid station bag for specific instructions.​​
If runners drop gear, they must place it in bags and write their bib number on it!
Bring the HYPE!!! Get excited for the runners as this is a MONUMENTAL accomplishment for them. Speakers are encouraged, cheer them on, and help them through this section of the race.
After the sweep vehicle comes by, you can take down/clean up your station. See below or aid station guide for specific instructions.

Please dress appropriately for weather.
Gear Drop-Off/Clean up
After sweep vehicle passes you may begin teardown
1. breakdown table (clean with water if necessary)
2. Save any leftover tailwind and water jugs to bring down with the rest of the equipment
3. pick up trash in the area, tie off trash bags, and carefully flatten trash box
4. collect and bring back any leftover cups

Please bring water jugs/cooler, table, trash, trash box, any extra cups/food, and aid station equipment back to Devil's Kitchen Picnic parking area (marathon start line)

Please bring any gear drop items back to the Devil's Kitchen Picnic parking area (marathon start line)

Please bring water jugs/cooler, table, trash, trash box, any extra cups/food, and aid station equipment back to the Fruita Community Center (finish line)

FAQs
​​When can I leave my aid station?
When the SAG vehicle comes through after the last runner. Please pack up the aid station and take it to the Devil's Kitchen parking area (Aid 1-4) or take to the Fruita Community Center (Aid 5-8).

How many cars can I park at the aid station?
Please carpool! Only one car is allowed at each aid station. This is per our permit with the Colorado National Monument.

Can I play music?
Yes, you are encouraged to play music, bring posters, etc. Help encourage runners as they are running a MONUMENTAL race and would love to have people cheering them on!​

Who do I call if a runner needs help?
If there is an emergency, please call 911. For minor injuries/concerns, please have the bib number and location, then call Sam Smith at 970-902-0780. Please check out In Case of Emergency page HERE

What should I do when I get to the aid station?
Please set up trash cans and start filling cups with water and tailwind!
