Who is racing?
Collegiate club and varisty teams from all over the US. This race is a preview for the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships that will take place October 8-11, 2026 at Powderhorn. This is the conference home race for the defending national champion CMU Cycling team.
Is there parking?
Parking is available at Powderhorn Mountain Resort at the base lodge in the lower lots.
Is it free to attend?
Attendance is free. No ticket required.
SHOULD I BRING A CHAIR?
Yes, there will be no provided chairs or seating on course so please plan accordingly.
Is there food and drink Available for purchase?
The Umbrella Bar and Lodge will be open.
What is the schedule each day?
Friday - Downhill Practice from 2-6pm
Saturday - Dual Slalom (DS): Dual Slalom puts two riders head-to-head on a 662ft mirrored course, closing out the comp in speed and style.
Saturday - Short Track (XCC): A short and speedy closed-loop course that makes for a fast-paced race and a show of true speed on the mountain.
Sunday - Cross-Country Olympic (XCO): A demanding endurance test featuring multiple laps of a 2.2-mile technical loop. The most resilient rider wins this one.
Sunday - Downhill (DH): A true test of speed and quick reactions in this downhill battle. The fastest rider down the 1.6-mile course takes the win.
Where can i watch the races?
Spectators can walk to finish lines and view points along the courses from the base of the mountain.
